Welcome to the Columbus Chapter of Conscious Capitalism

Conscious Capitalism Columbus is the local chapter of an international organization dedicated to the elevation of humanity through business. Originally founded following the publication of “Conscious Capitalism: Liberating the Heroic Spirit of Business” conscious capitalism has become an International movement with over 30 chapters in cities and communities around the globe.

We believe that business is good because it creates value, it is ethical because it is based on voluntary exchange, it is noble because it can elevate our existence and it is heroic because it lifts people out of poverty and creates prosperity. Free enterprise capitalism is the most powerful system for social cooperation and human progress ever conceived. It is one of the most compelling ideas we humans have ever had. But we can aspire to even more.

The Four Principles of Conscious Capitalism

Conscious Business
Conscious Capitalism is a way of thinking about capitalism and business that better reflects where we are in the human journey, the state of our world today, and the innate potential of business to make a positive impact on the world.

Higher Purpose:

Energize stakeholders around a higher purpose while maintaining the essential ingredient of profitability.

Stakeholder Orientation:

Focus on stakeholders rather than shareholders and create value for all involved.

Conscious Leadership:

Purposefully cultivate an environment of trust, care and service for the entire business ecosystem.

Conscious Culture:

Connect stakeholders to each other and the company’s purpose through shared values inherent in the people, processes, and practices of the business.

Inaugural Champions

Conscious Capitalism is at its heart about people … entrepreneurs, business leaders, and intrapreneurs who champion a belief that business, when practiced consciously, elevates humanity.

The Columbus Chapter of Conscious Capitalism is deeply grateful for the support and generosity of our Inaugural Champions. It is through their commitment to the guiding principles of Conscious Capitalism – for themselves, their businesses and our community – that helps us fulfill our purpose as a chapter and realize our shared vision of a world where business is, and is recognized as, a force for good in the world.
